![]() Windows 10 and later drivers, Windows 10 Creators Update and Later Servicing Drivers. ![]() I may just have to get my brother to have a look at this (he does this kinda stuff as a job). Broadcom Corporation - Bluetooth Controller - ASUS USB-BT400. ![]() The drivers are operating systems used in Windows and different Windows such as Windows 10, 8, and 7 use different drivers. It still doesn't offer me the BT services (if I try and start it, it says "Starting Bluetooth." at the bottom right of the screen, and then goes off after a few seconds - but BT isn't started) What this means is that if you have an incompatible driver on your device you may not be able to send and receive data with ease. This one at least makes a "ding" when connecting it to the usb - but nothing more. I also have a second dongle I just tried: Update your Bluetooth driver or reinstall it if you suspect it got corrupted. Try it on mine, and it pings up with something on the rear USB ports - but not the front ones. I have a UE MEGABOOM 3 Bluetooth speaker, one day when I wanted to charge. Hmm well that dongle works fine on my dads laptop. Locate the PCI device with the missing driver, right-click on it, and choose Update driver. Double-click to expand the category in Other Devices. On your keyboard, press the Windows key and the X key together, select Device Manager. Afterwards I downloaded the drivers form Asus's website but found that those would lead to an 'unable to start the Bluetooth stack service' message. ![]() I'm just booting up an old machine to try itĭo you have any suggestions for a decent dongle BT adaptor otherwise? I just went for a cheap one - but maybe it's worth spending a bit more on a recognised brand? (I've only had this one in Jan this year, and most of the time its been disconnected!) Manually download or re-install via Device Manager. So, I decided to reinstall the drivers, except this time the installer said the drivers where incompatible with my version of Windows. Is it actually recognised as a usb device when you insert it?Very possible.
